Energy Accounting and Simple Efficiency Measures for Business
Do you know how much energy your business uses? Do you know low-cost measures for energy savings? Start the process of energy management planning by taking away an energy profile for your business with graphical representation of historical energy use, conduct a building system inventory check list, and learn low-cost energy conservation measures for specific building systems. Also, learn how to access utility rebates.
Use your own building as a case study to learn how to perform energy accounting and learn simple low-cost measures to save energy. Leave the course with a better understanding of your building's energy use and with specific steps to save money and energy in your buildings.
(Please note: This class is only for business owners, building facility managers, and/or financial directors who are interested in saving energy at their office or facility. This class is not intended for home owners and does not cover residential energy systems. This course is also not a training course on how to become a commercial energy auditor.)
Prerequisite: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel. Bring two years of electricity and natural gas and/or fuel oil bills from your company. This is a 15 hr. course.
