Group Fitness

 

Our Group Exercise program is free to our members and consists of over 50 classes a week to choose from with class formats that include Trim & Tone, SilverSneakers®, Group Power®, Group Centergy®, Group Step®, Group Kick®, Group Ride®, Group Groove®, Group Active®, Aqua Aerobics and Country Line Dancing. Morning and evening sessions are offered at various times. Our staff is certified by AFAA, Body Training Systems, AEA and ACE. Class schedules are available at the front desk. All fitness levels are welcome.

Aqua Aerobics

Calisthenics and aerobic activity performed to music in the pool. Tools are used to increase the waters’ resistance, while maintaining minimal stress on the joints.

Deep Water Aerobics

This is the place for core strength development and muscle conditioning! Experience this non-impact workout done completely suspended in deep water. Realize your power – maximize your training results! Water belts provided and required!

Group Centergy

Redefine yourself with Group Centergy. Grow longer and stronger as you explore this 60 minute journey of yoga and pilates movements. Positive uplifting music, group dynamics and supportive instructors will enable you to center your energy, reduce stress and even smile. Discover Group Centergy.

Group Power

Group Power is your hour of power! This 60 minute barbell program strengthens all your major muscles in an inspiring, motivating group environment with fantastic music and awesome instructors. With simple, athletic movements such as squats, lunges, presses and curls, Group Power is for all ages and fitness levels. Discover results, discover Group Power.

Group Step

Discover new heights with Group Step! Utilizing the step in many positions and heights, this compelling 60 minute cardio program strengthens and shapes the lower body one step at a time. Energetic music and motivating instructors create this spunky group experience. Step way with Group Step!

Group Kick

Group Kick brings it on! This electric 60 minute fusion class of martial arts and boxing movements will kick your cardio fitness to the next level while defining and shaping your body and self confidence! Energetic music, awesome instructors and a group environment will keep you punching, kicking and smiling! Group Kick will knock you out!

Group Ride

Everyone finishes first in Group Ride! Pedal in groups, roll over hills, chase the pack, climb mountains and spin your way to burning calories and strengthening your lower body. This 50 minute cycling program is geared for anyone that can ride a bike. Motivating music, awesome instructors and
an inspiring group environment lets you Ride On!

Group Groove

If you can move, you can Groove. You’ll stomp, flick, wiggle, hip,hop, snap, shimmy, shake, slide,glide,smile and laugh your way through this 60 minute fitness dance program. Experience a fusion of club, urban and Latin dance styles with motivating chart topping hits and retro classic tunes. Supportive, funky, easy going instructors help you Get a Move On! with Group Groove.

Group Active

Activate your life in only one hour! Feeling fitter, stronger and more alive has never been more achievable or more enjoyable! Incorporating all elements of fitness, Group Active will increase your cardio fitness, build your strength and improve your balance and flexibility. All in a supportive group environment, with motivating music and caring instructors. Get more out of life, Get Active!

Trim & Tone

Here’s the toning class you’ve been looking for! The class will strengthen and tone the major muscles in the upper and lower body including abs. Tools used may or may not include hand weights, tubing, dyna-bands and your own body’s resistance. All fitness levels are welcome.

SilverSneakers®

SilverSneakers logoThe SilverSneakers Fitness Program is a fitness program designed to improve and maintain the physical and mental health of Medicare-eligible members of the Fallon Community Health Plan.

It reflects senior sensitivity, promotes social interaction, and encourages participation in health lifestyle activities.

These eligible members receive a free basic membership to our facility as a participating SilverSneakers contracted network. Membership privileges include all amenities, programs, and services that are associated with our basic membership.

We also offer the SilverSneakers fitness classes in addition to our other classes. They are focused on strength, flexibility, and coordination for this specific age group of members.

Muscular Strength & Range of Movement Conditioning

Move through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and skills required during Activities for daily Living (ADLs). Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

Crank-Up the Cardio

Enjoy a heart-healthy, non-impact aerobic class designed to give you a safe & fun workout using basic rhythmic movement for the upper & lower body. A chair is provided for support, stretching, and relaxation and resistance tools are offered for muscular strength work.

Line Dancing

Country line dancing is fun & easy to learn. If you know the Slap Leather or Tush Push you’re on your way. If not, don’t worry we’ll make country line dancing so easy, you’ll learn as you workout.

PACE (People with Arthritis Can Exercise)

PACE is an exercise program that uses gentle activities to help increase joint flexibility and range of motion and to help maintain muscle strength. PACE can be done from a sitting or a standing position.

Gentle Yoga /YogaFit

Gentle Yoga/YogaFit is designed to increase the fitness level of individuals 55+ in age. Gentle Yoga includes yoga posesand methods that will allow you to increase muscularstrength, endurance, flexibility, and increase stamina, lung capacity and overall wellness. Chair support is offered.
