What will I receive for financial assistance?
Students who complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) prior to the April 1st priority deadline and have an Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) of $3,850* or less will receive a combination of federal and state grants that will cover the full cost of tuition, fees, and books at MWCC.
Students who have an EFC greater than $3,850 or who apply after the priority deadline will receive a finacial aid package that substantially reduces the overall cost of education to the extent that funds are still available at the time of awarding, depending on the demonstrated financial need.
In order to receive full financial aid coverage for tuition, fees, and books, students must be accepted to a degree program and be enrolled in 6 – 12 credits per semester. Students enrolled in more than 12 credits per semester will have additional expenses due to their increased tuition and fee charges, which may result in insufficient grant aid to cover all the costs.
