GEO129 WORLD AND CULTURAL GEOGRAPHY
3 credits
Surveying world economic, political, social, and cultural factors and the
impact and significance they have on people, geographical space, national
and world affairs, this introductory course stresses the basic principles
of human geography. A global, geographical perspective is given to such
topics as population and settlement patterns, health and nutrition, technologies,
livelihoods, international politics, religions, languages, and art forms.
Prerequisite: ENG100, RDG100, or placement.
