Science & Math
CSK 146 Math & Science Program
This program for middle school students mixes learning with fun, offering academics in the morning and activities in the afternoon. Fosters a passion for math and science through guided inquiry and exploration. The focus will be on living things.
Youth Leadership & Development
CSK 375 Youth Leadership & Development (through the eyes of law enforcement)
Leaders are not born they are made. Students will learn about leadership concepts and respect through the principles of military and police discipline. They will be tasked to build team skills and camaraderie from physical as well as mental challenges. Positive self-esteem building exercises will help fuel their desire to work together. They will further learn the basic skills based on the science of solving and investigating a crime scene. We will take a no nonsense approach to teach students how to work together to problem solve and lead a team for investigative challenges.
Drama
CSK 029 The Theatre Bug
An introduction to the wonderful world of theatre. This program combines theatre games, pantomime, music, dance and creative play. Through storytelling, expressive movement and improvisation, students discover the joy of being bitten by the “theatre bug.” The program includes a performance for family and friends on the final evening, supervised recreation, and a T-shirt. Instructor: Gail Steele/Staff
CSK 028 Lights! Stage! Action!
We’ll take a script from page to stage in just two weeks! Classes will be held in the morning and will include acting, music, dance and more. In the afternoons, we’ll rehearse and learn the thrill of putting on a play. Also included is a performance for family and friends on the final evening of class, supervised recreation, and a T-shirt.
CSK 027 Spotlight on Musical Theatre
One of our most popular programs! Learn the basics of song and dance while experiencing the thrill of performing in musical numbers from Broadway shows.
