CSPD 715 Residential Appraiser Site Valuation and Cost Approach

Introduces procedures and methodology used in site valuation and the development of the cost approach. The first part of the course covers the six methods used in developing an estimate of site value. The purpose of an assignment may be site valuation; however, it is the critical first step in the cost approach taught in the second section. The second part of the course covers the methods used in accurately estimating the value of an improved property using the cost approach. This course has been approved in CT (primary only), MA, ME, NH, RI, VT (primary and CE) and NY (CE only).

CSPD 716 Residential Report Writing

Introduces theories, techniques and procedures to help you understand the appraisal process and how to use various residential forms and reports for appraisal. This course focuses on the variety of form reports used by residential appraisers today: the URAR, 2055-drive-by-format, and others. Students learn how to fill out these forms properly, in compliance with USPAP and other guidelines. Through theory and hands-on examples of appraisal processes, this course provides practical application of real estate appraisal procedures. A calculator is suggested. This course been approved for primary and continuing credit in MA, ME, NH, RI & VT and for primary only in CT.

CSPD 695 Basic Appraisal Procedures

Learn the concepts key to the appraisal process. This course covers definitions and theories that appraisers need to understand and why the definitions and theories are important within the framework of real estate appraisal. This course satisfies the basic appraisal education requirements for Trainee licensing and represents 30 hours out of 60 hours of basic appraisal education required starting in January 2008.

CSPD 697 USPAP Update

Update your knowledge of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), as required for meeting continuing education requirements for general and residential appraisers. The update covers all of the applicable standards using a combination of lectures and case studies. Approved by the MA, NH, RI and VT Boards of Registration of RE Appraisers for 7 hours of continuing education credit. 2006 version expires Dec. 31, 2007.
