Join the Institute for Nonprofit Development as Pete Cormier, Institute member and founder of Sterling Music Exchange, leads discussion on reasons why and why not to start a nonprofit organization, how to develop a mission statement, choosing a name, membership, officers, choosing your fiscal year, and dissolution clauses. This is the first of a two-part series of workshops, “Nuts and Bolts of Creating Social Change Organizations.” The second session will be held June 4th from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. and covers the topics of: board of directors, bylaws, conflict of interest policy, tax exempt status.
