SCHEDULE CHANGE
April 10, 2008
Due to the inability to cast certain key roles we have cancelled our June production of
the musical Ragtime. Theatre at the Mount strives to maintain the highest production
standards and it is with deep regret that we must make this change. We have replaced
Ragtime with the Tony Award winning musical The Secret Garden and are confident that you
will find it to be a magnificent theatre experience.
All Ragtime tickets will be honored for The Secret Garden and are valid for the time and
date printed on the tickets. If you will attend the new show, you do not need to exchange
your tickets or do anything further.
NON-SUBSCRIBERS who have already purchased tickets for Ragtime but do not wish to attend
The Secret Garden may of course sell or give those tickets to friends or return them to
the box office to exchange for any other show in 2008 or a gift certificate.
THE SECRET GARDEN
Book and Lyrics by Marsha Norman. Music by Lucy Simon. Based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
This enchanting classic is now a brilliant musical by a Pulitzer Prize winning playwright.
Orphaned in India, an 11 year old girl returns to Yorkshire to live with an embittered,
reclusive uncle and his invalid son. The estate includes a magic locked garden.
Flashbacks, dream sequences, a strolling chorus of ghosts, and some of the most beautiful
music ever written for Broadway dramatize The Secret Garden's compelling tale of
regeneration. This Tony Award winner is a treasure for children and adults.
Best Regards,
Gail Steele, Director of Theatre
